The New EU AI Act - How to Avoid Unacceptable Risks
Introduction
The EU AI Act ‘(‘the AI Act’) prohibits certain AI use methods, that, in the opinion of European Union bodies, pose the most significant risk to EU citizens' fundamental rights.
These prohibitions are aimed at both government bodies and companies.
Violations in this area carry severe financial penalties.
Provisions on unacceptable AI use will come into force in February 2025, making implementing them the most urgent topic related to the AI Act.
During this new virtual classroom seminar, participants will gain a practical knowledge of the meaning of specific AI use prohibitions, assessing which ones are relevant to business, an understanding of the risks associated with infringements in this area and, finally, how to ensure that their organisations will be safe from these risks with as little effort as possible.
The session is suitable for in-house lawyers, compliance staff, procurement specialists and directors, IT managers and directors, security officers and business experts in both the UK and EU.
