MBL is a leading learning and development provider for professional service firms. More than 210,000 delegates in 24,000 different organisations spanning 85 countries have chosen MBL to deliver over 1.6 million hours of training, both online and in person.

You will be responsible for creating and managing a selection of new products in the format of webinar recordings, seminars and live online events for financial services firms involving research skills, speaker liaison and diary management. A target driven role with individual and team targets to be met as well as ensuring our high quality standards are maintained with attention to detail and accuracy and that the very latest legal, tax or compliance content is covered.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supporting the Financial Services Product Development Manager in new financial services product development initiatives
  • Responsible for day-to-day liaison with speakers (existing and new) regarding speaking opportunities
  • Extensive research into new financial services products
  • Competitor analysis
  • Producing well written, high quality programme outlines
  • Implementing improvements and maintaining quality control for existing products
  • Utilising the PD Matrix to ensure any gaps are filled for new programmes within your assigned financial services sectors
  • Maintaining accurate and up to date systems for product development
  • Maintaining profitability targets when updating outlines to ensure it is a topic that meets commercial needs
  • Ensuring that the product range is constantly evolving to meet identified market needs across all selling channels.
  • Meeting both individual targets and contributing to the wider team targets
  • Building internal relationships across departments and working closely with internal teams particularly Event Operations and Marketing
  • Any other related duties as required that are within your skill or ability

Additional Skills & Responsibilities

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong research & analytical skills
  • Good time management & organisational skills
  • Ability to multi-task and work to tight deadlines
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft office including Excel and Outlook
  • Prior experience in a financial services firm is desired for this role

  • Involved in developing online and face to face multi-speaker conferences and co-ordinating speaker availability and content
  • Responsible for day-to-day liaison with speakers (existing and new) regarding conference speaking opportunities
  • Extensive research into conference content across all areas of law, accountancy, and other professional service sectors and discussions with potential speakers regarding the content
  • Competitor analysis including avoid the same dates as other large competitor conferences
  • Producing well written, high quality conference outlines
  • Working with the conference chair to ensure the day flows well and covers the latest hot topic updates
  • Maintaining accurate and up to date systems for product development
  • Reviewing profitability targets when considering repeat conference topics to ensure each conference meets commercial needs
  • Ensuring that the conference product range is constantly evolving to meet identified market needs
  • Meeting individual conference targets
  • Building internal relationships across departments and working closely with internal teams particularly Event Operations and Marketing
  • Any other related duties as required that are within your skill or ability
