Introduction

IP due diligence is a thorny topic.

You might be involved in fundraising, flotation, acquisition, merger or litigation, as an advisor or the party in question.

This new virtual classroom seminar will explore what investors, solicitors and patent attorneys should be looking for.

Questions of ownership, use, and validity of IP rights will be addressed in circumstances from initial filings of trademarks and patent filings, all the way through to the business exit.

What You Will Learn

This live and interactive course will cover the following:

  • Brief overview of IP due diligence - who owns what?
  • Being ready for a licensing approach
  • Tracking your IP portfolio
  • Due diligence on the licensor/licensee
  • License negotiation - who needs what and who negotiates/is a signatory?
  • Monitoring the license
  • Termination clauses and clawback rights
  • Renewals - are they in place, and if not, why not?

Recording of live sessions: Soon after the Learn Live session has taken place you will be able to go back and access the recording - should you wish to revisit the material discussed.
