Between 1990 and 2017, 69 public inquiries were launched - compared with only 19 in the 30 years before. There are currently a number of different ongoing inquiries, including the well-publicised Covid-19 inquiry. It may well be likely, that you will find yourself acting in an inquiry in some capacity.

Public inquiries can seem like a strange and formidable beast. They very often last for years; they are beset by numerous documents, and they are subject to their own rules and statute.
