Remuneration & Expenses of Officeholders - Key Requirements for Insolvency Professionals
Introduction
An administrator, liquidator or trustee in bankruptcy is entitled to receive remuneration for services as officeholder.
However, this is not a straightforward process given that the remuneration and expenses are paid out of the assets of a company or bankruptcy estate and, therefore, requires creditors’ approval.
Where creditor approval is not obtained an application to court will need to be made.
In some circumstances there are strict deadlines for this, and it is important that officeholders are aware of the requirements.
