Yet another ancillary order! Serious Disruption Prevention Orders (SDPO’s) were brought into force in April 2024 in order to deal with the perceived problems caused by protestors. These orders are a form of Criminal Behaviour order but only aimed at people convicted of protest offences.

They are also available as free-standing civil applications on the part of the police. This speedy course is for prosecutors, defence lawyers and legal advisers dealing with protest applications.
