Introduction
This virtual classroom seminar will explore the role of guardians.
A guardian is appointed to look after the interests of a child when a parent dies and has all the legal responsibilities of a parent. A guardian may be appointed by the courts during family proceedings or privately by an individual who has parental responsibility for the child.
Family lawyers need to be familiar with the law and procedure when the appointment of a guardian does not go to plan.
