Course Outline
Introduction
This webinar will be helpful to those wanting to assist student clients who are struggling to navigate their university’s procedures, especially those with disabilities.
Common issues which arise are complaints about disability discrimination (and changes to disability support allowance), failure to make reasonable adjustments, bias within procedures and lack of transparency.
How can the Equality Act 2010 help students when they are trying to engage with the university’s procedures?
For some student clients the consequence of an academic failure can be life-changing, so it is important that all decisions made by universities are reasonable and proportionate.
